8 Ways to Hack Your Day

  • Improve your self talk. Self-talk is the voice inside your head that narrates your life. Being aware of the influence your internal monologue has is already a huge leap forward. Positive self-talk can transform your negative thought process and can cause a monumental difference. It helps decrease stress, strengthen confidence, and fuel better human interactions.
  • Search for more chances to smile. A smile almost automatically reduces tension in your body and mind. It sends a message to your brain that it is happy. Just the act of smiling can elevate your spirits. Start with activities you enjoy doing.
  • Define a purpose for the day. One task that you must complete will give the day meaning no matter what. Write this task at the top of your planner or add it to your desktop folder. By completing this one task, you can be sure that today was worth it.
  • Schedule your energy. It can be tempting to hit the gym, run errands, and block out a heavy work session all in the morning. However, by noon, you will be exhausted. Learn to schedule taxing activities with energy-boosting activities.
  • Pay attention to what you eat. Unhealthy foods, like fast food and junk food, quickly drain your strength. Fresh whole foods nourish the body and mind while replenishing your energy reserves.
  • Keep in touch with your loved ones. Human connections stay alive when both parties contribute to the relationship. Take the first move. Call them, message them, reach out to them. You will be glad you did.
  • Replace coffee with water. Water hydrates you while coffee parches you. Reach for a glass of water for improved focus, a clear head, and a vibrant glow.
  • Take advantage of your free time. Get off social media and learn something you always wanted to. The Internet contains an abundance of resources for picking up any new skill or trade. You just have to put in the effort and time.

Last, but not least, always try your best. Never leave projects thinking you could have done them better.
