Temporary Beauty

_______

Flowers.
Start from a seed.
Weedle their way through a dirt path.
Poke their tiny heads out and get blasted by sunlight.
They like to based in the sun, so they grow taller, trying to get closer.
Leaves shoot out from their fragile stems.
A small bud forms at the end and blooms into a beautiful flower.
Bees swarm the shy petals, trying to investigate her.
Over time, fewer and fewer bees visit her.
She becomes lonely.
Her petals swing to the ground.
Her color fades.
Her head tilts.
And she wilts over, breaking at the neck.
She makes her way back to the earth to rest in peace.
